In 2018, Uber unveiled its “flying car” concept aircraft at its second annual Uber Elevate Summit with the promise to open for business in 2 to 5 years.
The flying cars, which are being built by Korean manufacturer, Hyundai, will conduct vertical takeoffs and landings from skyports, air stations on rooftops or the ground.
These skyports will be equipped to handle 200 takeoffs and landings an hour, or one every 24 seconds.,
Uber recently unveiled via a video representation what the aircraft and the operation will look like.
