Brazilian defender, Thiago Silva has signed for Chelsea on a free transfer.
The 35 year old who ran out of contract with PSG this summer is the latest addition to Frank Lampard’s blue army.
Thiago Silva was reported to have undergone a medical in Milan yesterday ahead of his move to Chelsea.
Frank Lampard views Thiago as a short term fix to Chelsea’s defensive problems, having had one of the club’s worst defensive spell last season.
The 35 year old would sign a One year contract with Chelsea with an option of a further year.
Thiago Silva becomes the 5th addition to Frank Lampard’s blue army and the blues doesn’t seem to be slowing down any soon.
However, with the signing of Thiago silva, One of Chelsea’s four first team centre backs will have to leave the club to ensure balance.
The most likely to leave chelsea is Fikayo Tomori. The young English centre back is rumoured to be have put on a loan list by chelsea.
