Lionel Messi is linked with a move away from Barcelona as doubt persists over his future at the club.
The 33-year-old forward is heavily linked with a move to Man City this summer as he is reported to have an interest in linking up with former manager, Pep Guardiola.
It is reported that a move to Manchester for Messi will cost Man city about €700M in transfer fee and €50M in wages yearly.
Liverpool left-back, Andrew Robertson hopes the forward doesn’t end up in the Premier League.
“I think Liverpool have ruled out that we could sign him so I don’t want him anywhere near the Premier League and hopefully it stays that way,” he joked.
“I’ve played against him twice and it’s the hardest games I’ve ever played.”
The first of those two games was a 3-0 loss for Liverpool at the Nou Camp which saw Messi score twice.
The latter was a memorable night at Anfield in which Liverpool overturned a three-goal deficit to make it to the Champions League Final with a 4-0 win.
Barcelona are reported to be in constant talks with Messi and his dad in a bid to convince the Argentine forward to remain at Barcelona.
