Manchester United have moved strongly to hijack Manchester City target Kalidou Koulibaly.
City have been linked with the Senegalese defender but Napoli’s €70m valuation of the player has made negotiations difficult.
Right now, United are about to seize the opportunity to topple their neighbours in what would be a sensational move if they pull it off.
According to Mirror, remain hell-bent on bringing Kalidou Koulibaly to Old Trafford and the Napoli centre-half is viewed as the perfect partner for skipper Harry Maguire at the back.
Manchester United may view signing the 28-year-old as a priority while Manchester City won’t, as they have already signed Nathan Ake from Bournemouth for £40m.
The race between these two fierce rivals is likely to go down to the wire. Watch this space…
