Ajax are reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Manchester United for Donny Van De Beek.

Various sources are reporting this evening that a deal worth around €40m is close to being done which will allow de Beek to move to Old Trafford this summer.

According to transfer specialist, Fabrizio Romano, Man Utd are confident and convinced they will sign Van de Beek without much negotiations after tabling a €40m bid.

Ajax, through their chief executive Edwin van der Sar has already confirmed in the past that van de Beek will be allowed to leave the club this summer if a suitable bid arrives.

The midfielder was close to signing for Real Madrid last summer but the deal collapsed in the final moment.

United have been keeping tabs on the player since then and see him as a creative force they are lacking in midfield to help out Fernandes who has been in great form since joining from Sporting Lisbon in January.
