According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Barcelona star Luis Suarez has reportedly agreed personal terms with Juventus ahead of a potential transfer that would see him partner Cristiano Ronaldo.
Suarez’s time at Barcelona appears to be drawing to a close after the Uruguay forward was told by new manager Ronald Koeman he no longer has a future at the club.
The 33-year-old has been linked with a host of Europe’s top clubs since news of his availability broke, including possible returns to former clubs Ajax Amsterdam and Liverpool.
However, the two-time European Golden Shoe winner’s future appears to lie in Italy, where he has reportedly agreed personal terms with Serie A champions Juventus.
Luis Suárez might just go from playing next to one of the best players in the world to another.
The Barcelona striker has agreed to terms with Juventus after the Serie A side met a roadblock in pursuit of Roma’s Edin Dzeko, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
New Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo had imagined his new squad with the agile No. 9 up top as his center forward, but Roma’s talk for Dzeko’s replacement, Arkadiusz Milik of Napoli have also stalled.
Andrea Pirlo has already sent Gonzalo Higuaín packing after seeing his dipping production during the past few seasons, creating a hole in the middle that can only be filled in his system by a true No. 9.
Luis Suárez has a salary of €15 million per season until June 30, 2021 — an amount Juventus would need to be willing to pay to secure his exit from the Camp Nou.
