Chelsea are getting closer to completing a deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s golden boy, Kai Havertz.

The Blues have reportedly made a breakthrough in negotiations according to very reliable German outlet, SportBild.

Chelsea will pay Leverkusen the sum of €80m plus extra €20m in bonuses (split into €10m, in two instalments)

The publication stated that the transfer is expected to be completed and announced in the coming days.

However, there has been a new twist, as Leverkusen’s managing director Rudi Völler blatantly denied such agreement: “This is nonsense.” he said as quoted by Kicker.
