Kai Havertz completed the long-awaited move to Chelsea last week and began individual training the following day, hoping to be ready for Chelsea’s opening match of the season against Brighton.

But his jersey number is still unknown with the club yet to officially release jersey numbers for the 2020/2021 season.

However, The Athletic’s journalist, Simon Johnson has practically revealed Havertz shirt number for the season.

In a tweet, Johnson revealed that Havertz asked Fikayo Tomori who is heading to Everton on loan to give him his number 29 shirt and the centre-back obliged.

The Germany International also wore number 29 at Bayer Leverkusen and plans to wear the same number at Chelsea due to the unavailability of number 10 shirt vacated by Willian. The number 10 is set to go to Christian Pulisic.
