Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed that Chelsea target Kai Havertz has been allowed to leave Germany national team camp to complete his move to Chelsea.
Havertz sat out Germany’s one-all draw against Spain last night but latest reports suggest he’s already in London to complete his move to Chelsea.
The decision was made after discussions with Bayer 04 and DFB leadership as Leverkusen’s managing director Rudi Völler explains.
“I’ve talked to Oliver Bierhoff and Jogi Löw about this over the past few days,” Rudi Völler told the club’s website.
“On the DFB’s understanding of the special situation of the player and also of us as a club, we are grateful to the national coach that Kai can now sort things out with our support on-site in London”

With Havertz already in London, he’s expected to complete his medical and sign the contract before an official announcement from both clubs, which is expected to arrive tonight or tomorrow morning.
