France national team manager Didier Deschamps has hailed Ngolo Kante’s form in the Nations League so far.
The Chelsea midfielder was in impeccable form for France in their 1-0 win over Sweden.
Kante played very little football last season due to injuries but still impressed his manager despite lack of top match fitness.
“He (Kanté) was bothered with a lot of injuries. Tonight he was impressive in terms of volume, aggressiveness,” Deschamps said, as quoted by Tribal Football.
“He has above average athletic characteristics. Even without being 100%, he is above the norm. He was radiant and he formed a good combination with Adrien (Rabiot, Juventus) who does not have the same game but who also has a good volume.
“Both have worked well, it is not easy for them in this system because they have to compensate. I find that this duo have worked rather well.”
Kante will likely be in France lineup against Croatia tomorrow before returning to Chelsea.
