West Bromwich Albion are very close to completing a one-year loan move for young English midfielder Conor Gallagher.
The 20-year-old has signed a new contract at Chelsea, with only the announcement of the new deal pending.
According to Football London reporter Oliver Harbord, the midfielder put pen to paper yesterday and is on the verge of completing his loan move to West Bromwich Albion.
Conor Gallagher signed his new Chelsea contract yesterday and his loan to West Brom is set to be announced. Aston Villa showed some late interest in taking him, but he's set to play at the Hawthorns this season. #cfc

Chelsea may be keen to announce the two moves together in one go, hence the delay on reporting his new contract signed.
Conor Gallagher who joined Chelsea at the age of eight has never played first-team football for Chelsea as he looks to break into the first-team squad in the nearest future.
The 20-year-old became a part of Chelsea’s ‘legendary’ loan army for the first time last season.
The midfielder was loaned out to Charlton Athletic at the beginning of the 2019/20 season but was recalled in January.
And was sent out to Swansea on another loan where he had an impressive spell before returning to Cobham.
